1998

How it all began

In the beginning, there was nothing. Not even a garage. But there were three of us. And in each of us… the same enthusiasm and plenty of ideas. There was also one problem. I mean one desk and one computer. However, we also had an IATA license. And that allowed us to issue airline tickets.

So, no one and nothing could stop us. We established the company — the airline cashier for MT-ESPERANTOTUR.

The jokes ended. We became agents for over 300 world airlines. But it reached us only when we issued the first KLM airline ticket. To Kilimanjaro! Our journey continues to this day.

Oh! And one more thing. At the beginning, we were called Monda Turismo Flugo.

1999

As you know, since 1999 we have been operating as Monda Turismo Flugo. However, we decided to change our name to the Traveler’s Office FLUGO. Flugo, in Esperanto, means 'flight’. It was founded by two tour guides — travel enthusiasts. We’re catching more wind in our sails, we have three computers now. And the whole team completes the cashier’s course.

We’re increasingly visible outside. We open a second branch at Bydgoszcz Airport in the Old Town. And the residents strolling through the streets of Bydgoszcz can see the first large-format Flugo advertisement on one of the trams.

2000

The history of group reservations at Flugo’s Traveler’s Office dates back to the early 2000s when mass and organized air traffic began to develop, and Polish society became wealthier, allowing more people to afford air travel, displacing bus travel at the same time.

The first groups, consisting of several dozen people, were established for the needs of our travelers’ department, sending our clients to exotic places around the world.

2004

The real breakthrough and development of the group ticketing department occurred in 2003/2004 when we began to serve increasingly larger groups organized by Flugo’s Traveler’s Office. We started cooperation with the first MICE industry offices, pilgrimage traffic (, and companies organizing trips to fairs and conferences. Cooperation with these companies continues and is constantly evolving, also through the possibility of servicing additional companies from a wide range of industries organizing air travel. Thanks to this, we have already sent tens of thousands of satisfied customers and hundreds of groups.

This year, we issue tickets for our first group of over 120 people!!!

2005

In situations where a company or institution does not allow for the possibility of dividing a group among different airlines, charter connections come into play, allowing us to have an entire plane at our disposal.

Our first charter was for a group to Andorra when we sent about 190 people on a skiing trip in 2005.

2006

In 2006, we successfully started our cooperation with the Polwell Group, which is one of the leaders in the Bydgoszcz industry and a representative of well-known brands in Poland and around the world such as Montibello, Artego, or Kemon providing products mainly to hairdressing salons. Thanks to the company’s stable policy, the company’s brand is known throughout Poland, but more importantly for us, year after year, the Polwell Group in cooperation with Flugo’s Traveler’s Office organizes about 10 group trips for its clients. Thanks to this, Flugo contributes to the development of brands from the Polwell Group.

2007

The emergence of so-called 'low-cost airlines’ had a significant impact on the aviation market, including group travel. With the entry of these airlines into the Polish market, the network of direct connections from many Polish cities increased. This led to increased competition and ticket prices. Consequently, there was an increase in customers for group reservations who ask us for help in organizing the transportation of a specific number of people.

2008

Another breakthrough was the revolution in customer service, i.e., the withdrawal of paper tickets and the introduction of electronic tickets into circulation in 2008. Thanks to this, the process of service and action acceleration (especially in emergency situations) improved and broke the 'distance’ barrier. Thanks to this fact, Flugo acquires new customers from all over Poland and becomes the largest seller of airline tickets in the Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship, as well as one of the leaders in group reservations in Poland.

2009

One of the most difficult and largest groups in our history was the organization of a flight for about 320 people to Miami in 2009. The problem was the limited number of seats on planes and the need to transport such a large number of people at the same time and coordinate in all airlines that participated in the transport of such a large number of participants from various European cities.

2011

In 2011, our cooperation with the Bydgoszcz sports club Basket 25 (currently Artego Bydgoszcz) began, which has been at the forefront of women’s basketball in Poland for the past few years and is starting to make its mark internationally. Over the years, Flugo’s Traveler’s Office has established close relations with the club. During this time, we helped organize trips for many players and club members individually as well as in groups for fights in the European Cup. Thanks to fruitful cooperation, the management of Flugo’s Traveler’s Office decided, starting from 2012, to become one of the main sponsors of Artego Bydgoszcz which is a source of pride to support the local club.

2015

The awareness of air travel customers continues to grow, and with it, knowledge about the benefits of group reservations. The main ones include deferred payment divided into installments, the possibility of providing names about 2 weeks before departure, and the ability to reduce seats, which is not possible with individual reservations below 10 people. As a result, a significant segment of group customers now includes schools (Erasmus projects) and various institutions, companies, and associations, or simply groups of friends or families. Anyone who would like to send more than 10 people at once and takes advantage of the group offer will be able to appreciate the advantages of this type of reservation.

2019

20 years ago, we changed our name to Flugo.

Now it’s time for a new logo. And new adventures under the new sign.
